I regard university teaching not as an ancillary obligation but as a central space of intellectual curiosity, academic enthusiasm, and shared discovery. I am particularly motivated by observing students progress from an initial engagement with theoretical concepts to independently applying them to empirical phenomena, critically reflecting upon them, and developing their own research questions. Accompanying this process from curiosity to analytical maturity constitutes one of the most rewarding aspects of my academic work.
My strong commitment to teaching is reflected in consistently excellent teaching evaluations and in multiple nominations for teaching awards. This dedication is further underscored by my voluntary and successful completion of a comprehensive university teaching certification programme in higher education didactics. Over the past years, I have continuously and systematically expanded my teaching portfolio, both in terms of content and methods, and I am highly motivated to further develop and broaden this portfolio in the future in response to new research developments, curricular needs, and student interests.
My teaching experience spans the full range of university formats, including lectures, seminars, research practicums, and tutorials, and I have taught in both German and English. I am firmly convinced that excellent research and excellent teaching are mutually reinforcing and that inspiring, research-led teaching is essential for fostering methodological competence, sustained scientific curiosity, and democratic responsibility among students.
